Rebecca joined the Becketts IMC in 2021 to help Becketts build its Resolve portfolios – designed for clients who wish invest in a global transition to a more sustainable economy, whilst being mindful of environmental and social challenges and opportunities. Sustainable investment is Rebecca’s specialist subject and is one that she is hugely passionate about.

What do you most like about your job?

I’ve worked in financial services for a long time and was looking for a new challenge when I started to become interested in sustainable investing. The more I learned, the more I became engrossed in this ever evolving and empowering area of finance.  I love to develop and share my knowledge and to apply it to achieve excellent outcomes for clients, as well as making a positive difference to environmental and  social concerns.

What are you most proud of?

I’ve won a number of awards in the finance industry, but would have to say I’m most proud of my Level C Football Coaching badge!  As a kid who always excelled at studying but wanted to have more interesting skills, such as sports or music, this is an achievement I never expected to get!  I coached 5 to 11 year olds at a very basic level for 5 years on some very chilly Saturday mornings and was a dab hand at putting up goal posts too!

What’s the best thing you’ve ever spent your money on?

A trip to New York with daughter and guitar where she took part in the annual Tartan Week celebrations, singing on an open top bus on 5^th Avenue.  A totally unforgettable and unrepeatable set of memories.

Surprise us, something we don’t know about you?

I was once part owner of a bar/club in Turkey – it was called the Moonshine bar and was converted from a former cowshed!
