Much like the start of a new school year, the onset of autumn has also seen many new faces join Becketts since the start of September.
Firstly, we had Debbie King and Alex Street – all the way back in September… Debbie joins as a Senior Financial Administrator, supporting Andrew Young. Debbie is local to Saddleworth, so just a short hop over the hills to our Empire House office in Yorkshire. Debbie has been working in financial services for over 20 years, so her experience is priceless!
Alex joins Becketts as a Financial Administrator two years into his financial services career, having started his career with a national firm in Leicester. Alex has relocated back to the Fylde coast, having grown up in Preston and is already underway revising for Diploma-level exams.
Thereafter, September moved very quickly as we prepared for THREE new joiners in the first week of October…
Firstly, Hannah Makinson joined on 1st October as a Senior Financial Administrator, preparing the pathway for our other two new joiners – and Hannah’s former colleagues – a week later. Hannah has worked in financial services for over 16 years in a breadth of client relationship and administrative roles.
Finally, our most recent recruits are financial planners Jason Street and Keith Pressler. With them both starting on the same day, coming from the same previous company and holding the same Fellowship status, we’re still working on trying to tell them apart! What we do know is that Jason is very much into his exploring and adventure – having both scaled Mont Blanc and scuba-dived in the past few months!
Keith has been quick to share his love of caravanning and cricket, as well as the fruits of his summer of labour – a grand garden shed!
And with that, that was all our Le Creuset mugs handed out! From a team of eight on New Year’s Day, to 17 now.
In and amongst the new joiners – our incumbent team passed no less than four exams over the summer, shared evenly between Nick and Andy respectively. Congratulations!
We then still had time in between exam sitting and orientation sessions for an afternoon out to Lytham last week – introducing everyone to pádel at Lowther Gardens. We definitely think team communication was improved, based on the loud calls of “mine” and even louder calls of “yours!”.
