Recent months’ global stock market performance shows that we can’t all be winners at every turn. This is another boat we all appear to be in together, something we should all be increasingly mindful of – given that we are also shipmates in the current cost of living crisis, which itself has rolled on directly from coronavirus.
That said, our confidence and philosophy is undimmed. Becketts continues stay on top of its technical excellence, with both Dom and James passing a Masters-level exam sat in March. It’s this commitment to continuous improvement that sees Becketts continue to welcome the most complex cases in town.
Speaking of our local town, we placed our first ever outdoor sign back in April, with Poulton’s Fylde Cricket Club the chosen recipient. The sign adorns the entrance to the club on Moorland Road – and is arguably bigger than the entrance sign itself!

Further down the coast, Becketts is also proud sponsors of two junior football teams in Lytham. We’re pleased to report that Lytham Juniors Under-8s recently won the Hogan Cup final and Lytham Juniors Under-7s won the Hogan Cup plate at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury ground. Fleetwood FC did a great job of hosting, it was an amazing atmosphere and children loved it!
Elsewhere around the Becketts team, Mark is undertaking a mammoth two-man walk, yes walk, from Blackpool to Buckingham Palace in August. All 224 miles. His aim is to raise £20,000 for Cancer Research UK and The Space Centre in Preston.
