In our last newsletter, we were very excited by the prospect of being a finalist for a 5th consecutive year at the Professional Adviser Awards for Adviser Firm of the Year – North West, and winning it for the third year running…
Well – we did!
To win this category three years running is a huge testament to all of our team and our commitment to continuous improvement to, in a nutshell, seek the best possible outcomes for all of our clients.
We also had Becketts Connect nominated as a finalist in its own right at the Red Rose Awards in the Professional Services category, and, despite not winning – to have this arm of the business being able to stand up on its own in this type of company, is a great achievement!
As spring kicks in, the team have been increasingly active – be it our first ever “Becketts Ramble” around Rivington Pike last month – or travelling afar to get their sporting kicks! James is booked on again for another crack at the French Alps, while Ben has tapped into becoming a weekend padel-playing tourist in Spain!
Speaking of padel, it seems like most of the team is now officially hooked! On top of Ben’s padel tourism, Dom and James are both under tutelage at Lowther Gardens in Lytham, Andy has found himself in a group and our friends at Tatton kindly hosted a padel tournament in Northwich last month. Did Ben top the individual ladder? Yes he did!
You may also recall that while on a team building away day, a group of Becketts colleagues topped the scoring charts at Challenge Point in Manchester. Well, it turns out they got one of the best scores of the year so far! So they HAVE been invited back to battle for some big prizes. That is this Monday (14th April), so we’re all very excited to see how they get on!
Looking ahead to the summer, we are eyeing up first ever Whit Friday attendance over in Saddleworth and take in the best brass bands the Pennines has to offer! Jade, Andrew, Debbie and Katie will be our local experts in helping the team navigate the best of the contest -and if the sun could stay out (as always), even better!
Hopefully we’ll get to see and hear all the best that Saddleworth has to offer. And of course we’ll look to capture and share our experience across all the usual social media channels – LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
